I agree with Bassplayer, Doug Hannon has a snake lure that is said to catch big bass. 10lb.+ Bass. The Snake lure would only be good in hot weather, for big bass. I wouldn’t use it because, i don’t think there is any big bass like that down here. You can only buy most of the snake lures online though. Listen, if they’re isn’t a lot of big bass, and you live up north, it won’t work too well.
Hope i helped ya out.
l’m not familiar with this particular lure but doug hannon (the bass professor) has a snake lure that works. l have seen bass eat a live copperhead so l know snakes/lures will work.
Oh yeah, seen them take snakes plenty of times. I know alot of people wont believe this and I wish I would have had a camera, but I have seen a big largemouth take a swallow off a branch of a bush that was too close to the water…oops. It was the coolest thing I have ever seen. Snakes in the floating top water variety can be really exciting way to catch fish. They seem to hit it alot harder than a zara spook.
Yes, most definitely. Large bass will eat snakes and if you are fishing an area that is snake habitat, I would definitely throw a snake out to them. Good luck!
I have to add something… I agree that most of the northern states are not gonna have bass large enough to even try this. However, I was just talking to someone about fishing in Florida before I answered your question and I still had Florida on my mind
