you wanna catch big catfish? and a lot of them? go blue gill fishing….. take ur scrapes after you have fillet them or if its legal in your state just use them for bait alive this has worked for me countless times. yet to catch any thing on the “catfish bait” except nausea … still havent gave up on it yet though. try the blugill trick if u dont catch a catfish , find a new spot

Nightcrawlers and/or catfish stink bait….believe me, it really stinks and smells like poop…afterall, that is what catfish like to eat. late evening or night time are best for catching mudcats.

    Chicken livers work great.
Also any meat product that is old and has a strong smell. I like to keep pieces of leftover steak and use them for bait.

Not big into cat fishing myself, but they seldom hit lures (So I’ve heard).
They have a very adept sense of smell. Try stinky baits like cutbait, doughbait, and other smelly crap.
