   I have to agree with fisher_k. The Rapala Jigging Rap is the lure I have had the most success with. I have caught as many fish through the ice with that lure as with everything else combined including live bait.

   Generally, the best ice fishing “lure” I have found has been the Rapala Ice jig. It has “wings” and 3-4 hooks. Depending on the size you decide to purchase you can catch anything from Perch to Lake Trout.
   They can be expensive but productive.

   a kamlooper because the light from the shallow waters refelects off of the gold and orange and attracts the fish.
