Rooster tail by all means if you're using regular fishing methods. But undoubtedly the best lure with the best fishing method is flies and fly fishing!

I like good old "Uncle Martin", aka Panther Martin spinners. Size varies from # 2 = 1/16 & # 3 = 1/8oz.. Have bout' 20 of them in different colors, but gold blade with black body/gold spots, seems ta' do the trick for me. "Trout On" ;)...

I would use a #7 floating Rapala, either brown trout or black and silver pattern, big browns love them..One can catch alot of fish on a martin spinner, but the big fish go after the bigger bait..

A Panther Martin spinner they spin better and have more vibration than most all other spinners. I like a gold blade with a dark body for brown trout ,and a silver blade with a lighter body for rainbows, in a size 1 or 2 is great for decent sized trout
